Peer2Peer is a reflective, strengths-based group training course designed for you to deliver. It supports the learning and development of peer workers by building their knowledge, skills and confidence in peer support values and practice. The course is built around the idea that everyone brings valuable experience. That learning happens when we share, listen and reflect together.

Who is Peer2Peer for?
Peer2Peer is for groups, services, and organisations that want to strengthen the practice of existing peer workers or to support people in developing their skills if they are new to peer worker roles.
Throughout the Peer2Peer resources we refer to people delivering peer support as peer workers whether in paid or unpaid roles. Peer2Peer prepares participants to use their lived experience in an empowering, strengths-based way, enabling them to provide intentional peer support to others who are navigating their mental health recovery journey.
Peer2Peer is adaptable, allowing you to tailor delivery to the needs, experience, and context of your participants. You can deliver the modules in sequence or select the sessions that are most relevant. This flexibility means you can facilitate Peer2Peer in person, online (Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc), or through a blended approach that combines both.
Scottish Recovery Network does not directly provide Peer2Peer training. We support others to deliver Peer2Peer in Scotland. Start by clicking ‘I’m a facilitator’ above to find out more. If you have any questions get in touch.
The best way to find our about Peer2Peer participant opportunities in Scotland is through our newsletter or by asking your local mental health organisations and services if they use Peer2Peer to develop peer roles.
