Role of peer support in early intervention webinar on catch-up!
“Helpful – Engaging – Inspiring”. 60 minutes exploring peer–led support as an early intervention to helping people stay mentally well.
We’re joined by guest contributors sharing what these types of support can look like in practice:
Wendy Callander is Executive Director at Wellbeing Works, a local charity in Dundee. Wendy gives an overview and shares learning from the mental health and wellbeing support they provide.
Jim McEvoy is a Peer Support and Mental Health and Wellbeing Worker with Penumbra’s successful South Angus Peer Support Service. This service operates out of three GP surgeries and provides over 100 peer-led appointments a week. Joining Jim is Steve Hardie, Assistant Manager with Penumbra’s Mental Health Services in Angus.
Hearing how embedded peer support is in these services, totally inspiring
