Transforming Scotland’s Mental Health System: From Insight to Action – 26 May

A one-hour webinar exploring what it takes to turn Scotland’s mental health ambitions into meaningful system-wide change.

This Peer Connects webinar takes place on Tuesday 26 May from 10:00 -11:00. Register your place (takes you to our Eventbrite channel).

Transforming Scotland’s Mental Health System: From Insight to Action is for Peer Workers, Service Leads, Managers, Policy-Makers, Commissioners, and Lived Experience Leaders interested in exploring what it will take to embed peer support and lived experience at the heart of mental health services.

This webinar builds on learning from our Edinburgh in-person event and pulls in national insights and expert perspectives to support what happens next. Whether you joined us in Edinburgh or not, this is another opportunity to deepen your understanding, connect ideas to practice, and be part of shaping real change.

You’ll hear powerful filmed contributions from Julie Repper, one of the UK’s leading voices on peer support and lived experience leadership. Drawing on Imroc’s work in England, Julie shares lessons from scaling a recovery-focused workforce and reflects on what this could mean for Scotland.

We’ll also welcome Louise Christie, Director of Scottish Recovery Network, who will unpack standout moments from Julie’s input and talk about what they mean in practice. She’ll connect these insights to Scotland’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Delivery Plan and the Creating Hope Together Suicide Prevention Action Plan – key policy frameworks shaping how change happens across services.

Plus, we’ll introduce our new 10-year strategy, Catalysts for Change, setting out how lived experience and peer support can drive long-term transformation of our mental health system.
