Webinar: The role of peer support in mental health crisis services – 4 February

Mental health crisis and suicide prevention support is changing. We’re starting to see innovative approaches that are peer-led, strengths based & recovery focused.

Galway Community Café is a free, out-of-hours mental health service designed and delivered by people with lived experience, in partnership with the local business community and mental health services.

Maria McGoldrick, Area Lead for Mental Health Engagement and Recovery, Community HealthCare West will be joining us, along with, Thom Stewart, Expert-by-Experience from An Ait Eile Cooperative. They will discuss their coproduction journey.

We’ll also be hearing from Rachel Middleton, Penumbra’s Distress Brief Intervention, Network Manager. Rachel will talk about how, with a focus on peer support, they are taking a different approach to helping people in distress.
