Creating Hope with Peer Support in Renfrewshire: 30 October

Workshop opportunity. Want to build your skills and confidence in developing supportive peer relationships with people affected by suicide?

We’re collaborating with Engage Renfrewshire to facilitate a one-day Creating Hope with Peer Support workshop. Join us as we explore peer support and why it has a vital role to play in suicide prevention. Expect discussions and activities designed to develop ideas, share experiences, and strengthen existing knowledge.

You’ll also hear about the Creating Hope with Peer Support Pathway (Connect, Explore, Hope and Support) while having space to reflect on the value in what you are doing as a Peer Supporter.

I feel empowered and confident to tackle difficult scenarios. More knowledgeable. Discussion between facilitators and peers incredibly constructive.

Who is the event for?

This Creating Hope with Peer Support event takes place in Paisley on Thursday 30 October from 10:00 until 16:00. It’s for:

  • Peer Supporters / Workers in groups or services who want to build their confidence supporting people affected by suicide
  • People with lived experience interested in developing their peer support skills

Group numbers for this workshop are deliberately low to provide a small group session where participants in similar roles can discuss challenges, shape solutions and exchange skills and ideas. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Due to funding commitments, this event is for people living / working in Scotland. Learning will be shared in our newsletter and through the Peer Recovery Hub.
